GET TO KNOW ME

I’m a Certified Reiki Master. What that means is I am certified in all three levels of Reiki and can teach it. In level one, you learn the general techniques to do Reiki. As you gain experience, you add techniques of your own. In level two, you learn about long-distance Reiki. Long-distance Reiki can be hard to wrap your head around, at least it was for me. It has been proven to me, even though I had my doubts, that it does indeed work, to the same degree as regular Reiki sessions do. Many of my family and friends in other states have told me that they firmly attribute their healing to long-distance Reiki when nothing else has helped. In the third level, the Master level, you learn to teach and give attunements to all levels. Attunements are meant to activate or strengthen the Reiki energy in the student, although Reiki can be done without attunements. Everyone can do Reiki because all of us have access to the Universal Energy.

My background has been in Nursing, and I’ve been a nurse for 40 years. In the early 80’s I took a Therapeutic Touch course with some nurse friends, and I didn’t know it then, but it was a form of energy healing; a different technique in some ways, but the same energy. I’ve been using a form of Reiki all these years and didn’t realize it! After I became trained in Reiki, my own Reiki Journey began. My relationship with Reiki Energy has opened up a whole new world for me in every way.

After my training, I began by doing Reiki on myself and my dogs, then on family and friends. With their encouragement, I put an ad on an app and began to get clients from Firestone and the surrounding communities. I hope that with the help of this website, I will be able to educate more people about Reiki and related subjects such as Crystals, Meditation, and Breathing Techniques.

In the future, I’m considering learning Animal Reiki. My animals seem to enjoy it, and I’ve been asked about it, so I’m looking for a good course to learn more about special techniques to work with all kinds of animals. I would also like to teach Reiki at some point, and if anyone is interested, please let me know.

I would say that besides Reiki, my foremost passion has always been horses. I’ve had horses since I was a kid and have trained, jumped, shown, and spent hundreds of hours riding and loving them all of my life.

I have a lot of hobbies, but here are a few: I like to watercolor paint, bake sourdough bread, cook, garden, and read. The best book I’ve read in a long time is “The Untethered Soul “ by Michael Singer. I also love watching the weather. Fun Fact: I’m a trained Weather Spotter!

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Contact me if you want a consult, just to meet me and talk to see if this is for you. I welcome your interaction and hope to meet you soon.
